LEAD AE – ASSIST Privacy Notice
Effective date: February 11, 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how Lead AE Inc (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles information when you use LEAD AE – ASSIST (the “App”) and www.LeadAE.com (the “Site”).
1. High-level summary
-
The App primarily processes your media/files locally.
-
Payments are handled by Paddle (we do not store your card details).
-
Some features (like OpenAI transcription/translation) transmit data to third parties if you enable them
-
Crash reporting is optional and includes redaction/scrubbing to reduce sensitive leakage
2. Information we collect
A) Information you provide
-
Content you choose to process in the App (media files, transcripts, captions, export files).
-
Support requests you send (email contents, attachments you include).
B) Information the App stores locally on your device
-
Preferences and configuration (e.g., offline mode, language, webhook settings, etc.) stored in local config
-
A per-install device ID used for licensing/entitlements, stored in secure storage and used during checkout/entitlement binding
-
License/entitlement tokens stored locally in secure storage (not shown to the renderer).
The App uses a hardened Electron setup where secrets are managed via allowlisted IPC and not exposed directly to the renderer
C) Diagnostics / error reporting (optional)
If you enable “Send crash/error reports,” the App may send crash/diagnostic events to Sentry. The implementation deletes common identifying fields (like event.user) and scrubs common token/key patterns and some path data
D) Billing information (handled by Paddle)
If you purchase a subscription, Paddle collects billing and payment details. We receive limited purchase/entitlement signals needed to provide access (for example, subscription state tied to device ID)
3. When data leaves your device
Data may be transmitted off-device when you:
-
Purchase/manage a subscription: the App opens a browser-based Paddle checkout/portal flow
-
Use OpenAI-based transcription/translation: audio/text is sent to OpenAI for processing
-
Enable crash reporting: diagnostic events may be sent to Sentry
-
Enable webhook integrations: the App may send job/event payloads to the webhook URL you configure.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
-
Provide and maintain the App and licensing/entitlements
-
Process billing via Paddle and help you manage subscriptions.
-
Improve reliability and debug issues (e.g., crash reports if enabled)
-
Provide customer support.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed with:
-
Paddle (billing/checkout/customer portal)
-
OpenAI (only if you choose OpenAI-based features)
-
Sentry (only if crash reporting is enabled)
-
Your configured webhook endpoint (only if enabled by you).
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
-
Local files/outputs remain on your machine unless you delete them.
-
Crash reports (if enabled) are retained by Sentry according to your Sentry project retention settings.
-
Billing records are retained by Paddle and/or as required by law.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect data. Secrets such as API keys are intended to be stored via OS secure storage mechanisms and are not directly exposed to the renderer. No system is perfectly secure; you should avoid uploading sensitive material to third-party AI services unless you are authorized to do so.
8. Your choices
-
You can disable crash reporting in Preferences
-
You can use local engines instead of cloud services where available.
-
You can enable “Offline Mode” to reduce network activity (though some features will not work).
9. International users
Your data may be processed in countries where our providers operate (e.g., Paddle, OpenAI, Sentry). If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have additional rights.
