  • Lead AE provides flexible support for Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro, built for productions that need pro level setup and cleanup. A lot of projects are either too small or too fast for a dedicated AE from start to finish. Sometimes it is a commercial that needs a day of prep and a same day handoff. Sometimes it is a series or doc that only needs help at specific points. We plug in exactly where you need us, on call or for specific stages of post.
     

    We take care of the technical backbone that keeps editors moving. When footage arrives, we handle ingest, transcoding, syncing, multicam grouping, and clean project builds with consistent templates and structure. We organize bins the way editors actually work, by scene, shoot day, camera, or whatever fits the project, with clear labels, metadata, and timelines that make sense the moment you open the project. If you are collaborating across teams, we make sure the setup is solid for shared storage or remote workflows, with properly linked media and projects that stay stable and responsive.
     

    As the edit moves forward, we keep things tidy and efficient, managing media, storage, and project health so performance does not fall apart halfway through. When it is time to deliver, we prep clean turnovers for online, color, and audio, including relinks, conforms, and exports like AAF or OMF. And when the job wraps, we archive properly so the project is organized, backed up, and retrievable later instead of becoming a mystery folder nobody wants to touch.

    • Job type and deliverables (prep, assembly, turnovers, conforms, QC, exports, etc.)

    • Project length and volume (runtime, number of scenes/sequences, total media)

    • Turnaround expectations (standard vs. expedited / same-day)

    • On-call support (hours required, availability windows, weekends/holidays)

    • Camera and audio complexity (number of cameras, dual-system audio, mixed formats)

    • Syncing requirements (timecode vs. waveform, multicam grouping, mixed frame rates)

    • Workflow and pipeline needs (proxy generation, relinking, shared storage, remote handoff)

    • Technical constraints (drive logistics, bandwidth, security/compliance requirements)
